The Fon often created royal paraphernalia such as king figures, commemorative iron staffs, called Asen, small metal emblematic figures and sceptres decorated with a zoomorphic blade.
Description:
Ceremonial staff with long black wooden handle. Iron end and fan—shaped slightly rusted iron blade, with engraved markings following the flanged edges. Coiled strip type iron extending from the beginning of the hilt, and extending along the blade.
